The Chestnut Hill College Softball team closed out their season Wednesday afternoon, dropping their final two games of the season to Wilmington University, 2-0 and 9-0.
In the opener, Rebecca Cessna pitched a complete game, allowing both runs and eight hits while striking out two.
The Griffins had three hits in the contest, singles by Jenn Pokropinski, Moira Maw and Braylie LaFisca.
The Wildcats scored both their runs in the fifth inning, the first on a wild pitch and the second on a single and a three-base outfield error.
In game two, the Wildcats scored eight times in the first two innings as they went on to win 9-0 in five innings. Nicole Swatko took the loss for the Griffins.  Madison Band and Hailey Kober had singles for Chestnut Hill's only two hits of the game.
The Griffins finish their season with a 5-27 overall record and a 1-17 mark in league play.
