The Chestnut Hill college Men's soccer team dropped their third straight contest, falling to nationally ranked Post University 3-1 at LaMoy Field in Waterbury, Connecticut Friday night.
The Griffins fall to 2-5-2 overall and 0-2 in Central Atlantic collegiate conference games. The Eagles improve to 4-2-2 overall and 2-1 in league play.
Following a scoreless first half the Eagles got on the board in the 52nd minute and proceeded to score twice more in an 11-minute span to take a 3-0 lead. Less than two minutes after Post's third goal, The Griffins scored their only goal of the contest, as Mohamed Bility put a shot past Eagles' goalkeeper Francisco Pinchet. Jimmy Paz and Nitson Mboua assisted on the score.
The two teams continued to battle for the remaining 26 minutes with neither team holding a decisive advantage as the game drew down to its conclusion.
Goalkeeper Max Bond took the loss in net, allowing all three goals while making six saves in the match.
Kholifa Sankoh led the Griffins with three shots and two shots on goal. Bility added two shots(one goal). Paz and Emmanuel Sampson each had a shot on goal.
For the game, the Eagles outshot the Griffins 20-11 (9-5 on net) and held a decisive 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The men's soccer team returns to action on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 when they host Georgian Court University at Victory Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
