Biography

SOPHOMORE (2010-2011) - Shcherbakova transferred from West Virginia Wesleyan College to headline the Griffins lineup. With a 17-3 record at number one singles and a 18-3 number one doubles mark with Kelly Dennis, Shcherbakova earned All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First Team status and was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II East Region "Player to Watch". Individually, she ranked as high as #5 in the ITA Division II East Region. As a team, Shcherbakova and Dennis ranked as high as #3 in the ITA Division II East Region. She was recognized as the women's tennis team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) at season's end. Shcherbakova earned all-academic recognition from the ITA and Chestnut Hill College (Fall 2010 and Spring 2011).]\

JUNIOR (2011-2012) - Shcherbakova continued to represent Chestnut Hill College at number one singles and number one doubles as the Griffins reached the College's first National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Championship Tournament. As the ITA East Region's #7 individual player, Shcherbakova earned an All-CACC First Team selection after leading the Griffins with a 18-6 (.750) number one singles record and a 17-8 (.680) number one doubles record. Combined with sophomore Kelly Dennis, Shcherbakova also earned a #5 doubles ranking in the ITA East Region. Academically, she was recognized on the CHC Athletic Academic Honor Rolls (Fall 2011 & Spring 2012), the CACC Fall All-Academic Team, the Athletic Directors Association (ADA) Academic Acheivement Team, and the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team.

SENIOR (2012-2013) – Shcherbakova was an All-CACC First Team selection for the third time, posting a 16-10 individual mark while contributing to a 19-9 number one doubles standing. She held the ITA East Region’s #8 Individual Ranking and partnered with fellow senior Maria Parapouras (Victoria, Australia) as the region’s #4 ranked doubles team (11-7 @ #1). She collected the 100th win of her collegiate career with Parapouras at her side in an 8-4 doubles victory at Queens College on March 31, 2013, and she was recognized with her second team Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at season’s end. She earned academic recognition on the CACC All-Academic Team (Fall 2012), the Chestnut Hill College Academic Honor Roll (Fall 2012 and Spring 2013), the Philadelphia-Area Sports Information Directors’ Association (Philly-SIDA), and the ITA.
