FRESHMAN (2013-2014) - Porter made his mark on the Griffin program right away, turning in a sensational campaign that culminated in his recognition as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Region Rookie of the Year and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Co-Rookie of the Year. An All-CACC First Team selection and the #5 individual competitor in the ITA East Region, Porter posted the program's best single-season winning percentage (.842) with a 16-3 standing at number one singles and combined with fellow freshman Pedro Oranges de Figueredo (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and senior Anthony Moore (Williamstown, N.J.) for a 17-4 (.810) standing at number two doubles. He was named the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the end of the season and made three appearances on the CACC Weekly Men's Tennis Report, twice serving as the league's top rookie performer (3/10 and 3/17) and once earning both the league's top player and rookie awards (4/15).
