Biography

FRESHMAN (2013) – Dayter made history with the College's first ever no-hitter, on March 23, in a 3-0 CACC triumph over Nyack College. Not only did she keep the Warriors hitless, but she also blasted a third-inning homer, 1-0, and became the Griffins second run on a botched fifth-inning sacrifice fly, before finishing the game with the program's single-game strikeout record, 13. She finished the year 7-13 with a 4.59 earned run average (ERA), allowing 80 earned runs on 180 hits and 36 walks. She struck out 91 in 122.0 innings of work and carried a .167 (15-for-90) batting average with ten runs scored and three runs-batted-in (RBI).

SOPHOMORE (2014) – Dayter manned right field and continued to serve as one of the Griffins starting pitchers. At the plate, she batted .182 (8-for-44) with a double and two homeruns to total six RBI. Meanwhile, in the circle, Dayter earned a 2-10 record on a 5.37 ERA. She logged 88.2 innings pitched, allowing 68 earned runs while walking 28 and striking out 44. Dayter also earned recognition on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Spring All-Academic Team and both the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls.

JUNIOR/SENIOR (2015) – Dayter (34gp-30gs) garnered the Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors in her first season a co-captain. She started 30 games between second base, third base, the outfield, and the circle. Dayter was the Griffins’ ace, posting a 5-12 record and a 4.06 ERA in 22 appearances (17 starts). She allowed 64 earned runs and 126 hits while striking out 65 and walking 43 over 110.1 innings of work. At the plate, Dayter helped herself with a .133 (6-for-45) batting average, a .178 slugging percentage, and a .184 on-base percentage on four singles, two doubles, and three walks. She scored two runs and knocked in four while earning recognition on the March 24 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly Honor Roll after giving up just one unearned run and three hits over six sparkling innings of a pitchers’ duel that ended in a 1-0 Wilmington University win (3/18, gm2). She was also a member of the CACC Spring 2015 All-Academic Team and both the fall 20145 and spring 2015 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls. Despite graduating in three years, Dayter still stands 1st all-time appearances (62), starts (51), wins (14), complete games (40), shutouts (4), innings pitched (321.0), and strikeouts (200), while ranking 3rd in ERA (4.62), 3rd in opponent batting average (.314), 5th in walks-per-seven innings (2.33), and fifth in strike outs-per-seven innings (4.36).
