FRESHMAN (2014) – Barton ran distances during the Griffins first season of competition. At the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships, he finished third in the Men's 5,000 Meter Run (16:53.60) and scored a victory in the Men's 10,000 Meter Run (42:08.34) for an almost unheard of double. Barton set a furious pace early and held on to be the ninth competitor to finish in the Men's 10,000 Meter Run in a time of 34:32.11 at Widener University’s Curran Invitational.

SOPHOMORE (2015) – Barton served as one of the team’s co-captains while earning recognition on the Chestnut Hill College Fall 2014 Athletics Academic Honor Roll. He totaled nine top-ten finishes including a 1^st (8:42.70) place finish as part of the 4x8 relay at the Gwynedd-Mercy College Mid-Week Twilight Invitational on April 15. Barton opened the season with a 9^th (2:58.26) finish in the 1,000 meter run at the St. Joseph’s College Winter Invitational on January 17, where he also contributed to an 8^th (4:18.74) place finish as part of the 4x4 relay. He also finished 4^th (17:16.66) in the 5,000 meter run at the Frank Colden Invitational in February 7, 4^th (8:52.91) in the 4x8 relay and 2^nd (11:03.91) in the distance medley relay at the Molloy College Invitational on February 13, 3^rd (9:29.19) in the 3,000 meter at the University of Delaware Classic on April 25, and 3^rd (36:00.04) in the 10,000 meter and 8^th (17:10.74) in the 5,000 meter at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship on May 3.

JUNIOR (2016) – Barton finished 11^th in the 5,000 meter (17:12.82; season best) at the Frank Colden Invitational on February 6. He placed ninth in the 2,000 meter steeplechase (7:27.58; season best) at the Philadelphia College Classic on March 19. Barton placed seventh in the 1,500 meter (4:36.14) at the St. Joseph’s Spring Opener on March 26. He finished 34^th in the 5,000 meter (17:18.96) at the Danny Curran Invitational April 1-2. Barton notched a third place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase (10:43.34) at the Mid-Week Twilight Invitational on April 13. He finished 79^th in the 1,500 meter (4:30.38; season best), and 22^nd as a member of the 4x400 meter relay (4:08.05) at the Widener Invitational April 22-23. Barton finished fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase (10:28.31; season best) and eighth in the 5,000 meter (17:43.36) at the CACC Outdoor Conference Championship on May 1.
