Chestnut Hill College Athletics

FRESHMAN (2014-2015) – Awad was 6-6 in singles play, reporting a 1-1 record at number four singles, a 1-1 mark at number five singles, and a 1-0 standing at number six singles. He also teamed with fellow freshman Marco Gobbato (Yonkers, N.Y.) for a 1-0 record at number three doubles and a 2-4 record as a doubles tournament partner with fellow freshman Lorenzo Viguie-Ramos (Valley Cottage, N.Y.) (1-3) and sophomore Sean Jaeger (Burlington, N.J.) (1-1). He was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week on March 2 after winning twice in a 7-1 victory over Capital University on Tuesday, February 24; at #5 singles (W, 5-7, 6-2, 10-7 vs. Jared Judson) and #3 doubles (W, 8-3 vs. Jared Judson/Beau Streety (W/ Gobbato).

SOPHOMORE (2015-2016) – Awad offered a 4-3 (.571) singles record which included a 2-1 (.667) effort in the third individual flight. As a doubles competitor with Henry Boyle ’16, he enjoyed a 3-1 (.750) performance in the Men’s B Doubles draw of the United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regionals. Awad also earned recognition on the Chestnut Hill College Fall 2015 Athletics Academic Honor Roll.
