Biography

FRESHMAN (2015) – Hooven appeared in four of six events, offering her best five-kilometer (5K) finish at the Cougar Chase Invitational on October 17; she placed 45th with a time of 23:41.6. Her lone six-kilometer (6K) finish was a 178th (29:42.9) finish at the NCAA East Regional (11/8, 6K). She also placed 68th (26:06.7) at the Philadelphia Metro Meet (9/12, 5K) and 69th (25:32.9) at the CACC Championship Meet (10/25, 5K). Hooven earned academic recognition on both the fall 2015 and spring 2016 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls.
 
SOPHOMORE (2016) – Hooven was one of the Griffins top performers in 2016, leading Chestnut Hill College in three out of six events. A strong start made her Chestnut Hill College’s top finisher at the Philadelphia Metro Meet (12th, 23:09.8, 5K), the Queensborough Community College Invitational (6th, 22:16.3, 5K), and Lehigh University’s Paul Short Invitational (128th, 25:18.0, 6K). Her performance at the Queensborough event earned her the Griffins’ only CACC Women’s Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll mention. She placed 47th (22:46.6, 5K) at the CACC Championship and 152nd (26:10.3, 6K) at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) DII East Regional Championship. Hooven’s efforts earned her the team’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the annual Chestnut Hill College Athletics Awards Reception. Academically, she was one of four Griffins to earn a 2016 CACC Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Team, and she earned membership on both the fall 2016 and spring 2017 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls.

JUNIOR (2017) – Hooven started off her junior year breaking a nine-year old record (13th, 17:26.50) at Misericordia University Invitational in the 4K (16:58.2, 20th) on September 1. On Friday, September 29, Hooven led the Scarlet and Gold women to a 23rd place (23rd of 32, 608 points) finish with her 87th place (24:30; season best) run in the six-kilometer (6K) race (Lehigh University's 44th Annual Paul Short Invitational). At the Millersville University's Battle for the Buggy, on October 7, Hooven paced the Griffins with an 8th (26.06.00) place finish. The junior was a key component in Chestnut Hill College’s (4th of 13, 133 points) historic run at the CACC Championships on October 22, crossing 18th (21:00.1).
