FRESHMAN (2010) - Benson was a major contributor in her freshman season. She appeared in 32 contests making 17 starts on the mound and 13 in the field. Benson batted .182 (12-for-66) while logging a 1-16 record and an 8.14 earned-run-average (ERA).

SOPHOMORE (2011) – Benson showed great improvement in the batter’s box, posting a .284 (29-for-102) batting average to go along with a team-high, seven doubles, two homeruns, and 15 runs-batted-in (RBI). She also led the team in stolen bases (4-for-4, 100.0%) while making ten starts on the mound and 26 starts at shortstop. From the pitcher’s mound, Benson offered a 9.99 ERA and a 0-8 record.

JUNIOR (2012) – In addition to seeing time at second base and right field, Benson threw 11 complete games in the 14 contests which she started. In 15 appearances on the mound, she offered a 7.10 ERA and a 1-13 record by allowing 71 earned runs on 127 hits and 45 walks. She struck out 27. At the plate, Benson was a factor in the middle of the lineup with a .200 (14-for-70) batting average, two walks, four doubles, a homerun, and an RBI.
