The Athletic Award Reception marks the culmination on another year. Every year, the members of GriffinNation gather in Sorgenti Arena to enjoy an evening on celebration, season summaries, and the presentation of major awards; Academic Award Winners, Coaches' Awards, team Most Valuable Players (MVP), the Griffin Award, and - most prestigious of all - the male and female Athletic Director's Awards.
All-Time List of Team MVP's & Coach's Award Winners;Â The MVP awards are given to those student-athletes who have made the greatest impact on their team's play this season. In the eyes of the head coach, the Coach's Award honors the student-athlete who has made significant, intangible contributions to their respective team.
All-Time List of Athletic Director's Awards Recipients & Griffin Award Winners;Â The Griffin Award is presented annually to a loyal and dedicated friend of the Griffins. The Athletic Director's Award is given annually to the male and female student-athletes, who in the eyes of the Athletics Administration, Athletic Training staff, Athletic Communications staff, Faculty Athletics Representative, and fulltime coaches, has best demonstrated dedication to the mission of the College and excelled in his and her sport(s) of choice.
