Jonathan Rhodes joined the men’s soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach following the 2010 season. Currently, Coach Rhodes is the Director of Soccer Instruction at United Sports in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. He began his coaching career in his native England, at the historic Leeds United AFC Youth Academy.
Rhodes attended Harrogate College, captaining the team in the 2000 and 2001 seasons. He was also a contributing member of the 1999 Harrogate College team that won the National Championship at the National College Cup. After graduation, Coach Rhodes played semi-professional soccer in the Northern Premier League for the Guiseley Athletic Football Club.
Since 2002, Rhodes has coached in the United States where he has won state titles in Delaware and Pennsylvania. He has prior collegiate coaching experience with the Gwynedd-Mercy College where he served on the women’s soccer coaching staff as an assistant. In his three seasons with Gwynedd-Mercy College, the Griffins reached two conference finals.
Rhodes holds the NSCAA National Premier Diploma, is USSF B License, and has the English Football Association Coaching Certificate.
