Zac Tassone joined Head Coach Casey Huckel’s coaching staff at Chestnut Hill College as an assistant prior to the 2014 season. A four-year starter at West Chester University and an experienced coach at both the club and collegiate levels, Tassone brings a strong foundation of knowledge to the Griffins men’s soccer program.

Before coming to Chestnut Hill College, Tassone spent two years as an assistant with the Immaculata College men’s soccer program, who he helped guide to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoffs. He also served as a Senior Technical Staff Member and a Residential Camp Director at Total Soccer Academy (2008-2013), who provides small group and private lessons to players ranging from preschoolers to aspiring professionals.

In addition to working at Chestnut Hill College, Tassone coaches within the Continental Football Club (FC) Delco US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) and Pre-Academy programs and acts as a Senior Technical Staff Member at 360 Soccer Academy. He holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Advanced Regional diploma as well as a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “D” License, and is currently pursuing his “C” License.

As a student-athlete, Tassone scripted a standout career at West Chester University, where he was a four-year starter at center midfield and forward. Tassone served as team captain for the Golden Rams during his senior season. He finished his collegiate career with 12 goals and 4 assists before participating in several professional combines and team trials. Tassone recently spent time on the roster of Football Club (FC) Reading Revolution of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).

Tassone is committed to educating both on and off the field. In addition to his coaching credentials, Tassone also works as a physical education teacher and Middle School Athletic Director at New Foundations Charter School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tassone graduated from West Chester University in 2011 with a degree in health and physical education. He currently resides in the Roxborough area of Philadelphia.
