Biography

FRESHMAN (2012-2013) - Taylor led the Griffins in most individual victories, sporting an 18-5 overall record between number four, five. And six singles. In doubles, he teamed up with Sammy Atri (Mexico City, Mexico) and Jeramy Solema (Jamaica, N.Y.) in the third flight for a 4-1 record while also recording a 7-12 doubles record with Anthony Moore (Williamstown, N.J.); 6-12 at number two doubles. He was a three-time Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week (4/15/13, 4/9/13, & 3/11/13). 

SOPHOMORE (2013-2014) - Taylor turned in an 11-3 mark in individual play (5-1 @ #5), including an unbeaten showing (4-0) at number two singles. He finished 8-4 in doubles at all three flights, going 5-4 with senior Anthony Moore (Williamstown, N.J.), 2-0 at number three with junior Devin Hampton (Midland, Tx.), and winning his only match at number one doubles with senior Michael Humes (Mount Laurel, N.J.). Taylor earned academic recognition on the Chestnut Hill College Academic Honor Roll (Fall 2013).

JUNIOR (2014-2015) – Taylor offered a 7-9 singles mark with a 3-6 tournament showing and a 4-3 dual match record from the bottom four flights; 1-1 @ #3, 1-1 @ #4, 1-0 @ #5, 1-1 @ #6. He also combined with Michael Humes ’15 (6-3; 4-0 @ #2, 2-3 tournament), Devin Hampton ’15 (1-0 tournament), and Sammy Atri ’15 (3-1; 1-0 @ #1, 0-1 @ #2, 2-0 tournament) for a 10-4 doubles record. Taylor also earned recognition on both the fall 2014 and spring 2015 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls.

SENIOR (2015-2016) – The Griffins' number three doubles duo was most frequently comprised of Taylor and fellow senior Henry Boyle ‘16, who sported a 12-6 (.667) record (10-6 @ #3) en route to earning the former his 100th collegiate victory and, eventually, the Chestnut Hill College Men's Tennis Coach's Award. Taylor recorded the century triumph in the Griffins' 5-0 CACC Semifinal victory over #3 Philadelphia University on April 23. He finished the season 5-0 (1.000) in singles play to complete his collegiate career with 102 victories; placing him in a tie with Manuel Ceniceros '14 for third all-time. Taylor also garnered academic recognition on the CACC Spring 2016 All-Academic Team and both the Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Rolls.
