Ryan O'Hara

Ryan O' Hara was selected to lead the Griffins' cross country and track and field programs in the summer of 2025.    O'Hara becomes the eighth head coach in the history of the program that started back in 2005 with just cross country and added track in field in 2014. 

O'Hara comes to Chestnut Hill College after a successful stint as a head coach at Upper Dublin High School

While at Upper Dublin saw his girl's cross country team improve 12 places within the PIAA district one  and finish among the top 30 teams in the state last season while increasing the size of the program by over 50%. O'Hara built a solid program focused on team bonding, distance and tempo runs and well as strength and conditioning with weights and plyometrics.

O'Hara also coached on the middle school level, guiding Sandy Run Middle School to a 21-2 record in his final season with the program.  He also rebuilt the middle school program in Upper Moreland school District.

A  1997 graduate of Bloomsburg University. O'Hara went on to earn his Master of Business Administration degree from Marywood University and later a master's in education degree from Arcadia University.

O'Hara resides in Glenside Pennsylvania with his wife and two children.
