FRESHMAN (2016) – Malone placed 11^th in the shot put (9.68m), and 14^th in both the discus (33.20m; season best) and javelin (28.98m) at the Philadelphia College Classic on March 19. He finished second as a member of the 4x100 meter relay (51.77) at the St. Joseph’s Spring Opener on March 26. Malone placed 17^th in the discus (32.30m), 22^nd in the shot put (9.32m), and 27^th in the javelin (28.17m) at the Danny Curran Invitational April 1-2. He finished 10^th in the triple jump (11.72m; season best), 12^th in the shot put (9.97m; season best), and 17^th in the javelin (33.35m; season best) at the Mid-Week Twilight Invitational on April 13. Malone placed 19^th as a member of the 4x100 meter relay (48.51) at the Widener Invitational April 22-23. He finished fifth in the discus (30.99m), seventh in the hammer throw (16.76m; season best) and javelin (32.35m), eighth in the shot put (9.41m), ninth in the triple jump (11.34m), and eighth as a member of the 4x100 meter relay (48.65m) at the CACC Outdoor Conference Championship on May 1.
