FRESHMAN (2016) – Pankey finished 41^st in the 100 meter (12.09; season best) and competed in the 200 meter at the Danny Curran Invitational April 1-2. He placed 29^th in the 400 meter (55.21; season best) at the Mid-Week Twilight Invitational on April 13. Pankey finished 82^nd in the 200 meter (24.68; season best), and 19^th as a member of the 4x100 meter relay (48.51), while competing in the 400 meter at the Widener Invitational April 22-23. He placed 11^th in the shot put (8.73m; season best), 12^th in the 400 meter (55.98), sixth as a member of the 4x400 meter relay (3:47.37) and eighth as a member of the 4x100 meter relay (48.65) at the CACC Outdoor Conference Championship on May 1.
