Dave Sechler joined the Chestnut Hill College coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2019 season. Sechler has a storied coaching relationship with Head Coach Pete Berrios, holding prior appointments as a Pete Berrios (PB) Baseball/Softball Player Development Coordinator, an instructor for The “Pure Hitting” Program, and as a fellow coach with the Georgia Sports Academy. He also has past coaching experience with Padua Franciscan High School of Parma, Ohio, and Springwood High School of Lanett, Alabama, where he was part of two state championship finalists. Additionally, Sechler has served as a professional instructor at the Blacksox Baseball Academy (Chesapeake, Virginia) and as a coordinator with Youth Baseball and Softball Advanced Development (Berea, Ohio)
Coach Sechler in the owner and president of The Best Permit Agency, Inc. (Berea, Ohio) and a graduate of Cleveland State University. He served as special assistant to the commander of the United States Army for the 52nd infantry of the Big Red 1st Armored Division and is happily married to his wife Barbara, with whom he shares four children; Samantha, Cynde, Stephen, and Scott.
