Heather Rush

Heather Rush joined Coach Kelly’s staff as an assistant prior to the 2012 season. Prior to coming to Chestnut Hill College, Rush developed a impressive pitching coach resume which included terms at West Chester University and Alvin Community College.
 
At West Chester University, Rush helped the Lady Rams to a record 34 wins in 2011 by improving the pitching staff’s earned-run-average (ERA) by over a run (3.68 to 2.53). She also helped Alvin Community College to a record 37 wins in 2009, coaching two student-athletes to two Region 14 Pitcher of the Week awards.
 
In addition to her appointments with West Chester University and Alvin Community College, Rush has run pitching clinic in Texas and Pennsylvania. The Heather Rush Pitching Clinics teach aspiring athletes the fundamentals and mechanics of pitching with various successful techniques that aim to improve the subject’s accuracy, speed, focus, and mental toughness. Rush has also served as a camp instructor at the University of Texas, Troy University, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
 
As a collegiate student-athlete at Alvin Community College, Rush helped the Dolphins to a 2006 Region 14 Tournament appearance while earning the team’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. That season, Rush set school records in wins (22) and innings pitched (256). Following her time at Alvin Community College, Rush went on to play at Troy University before finishing her collegiate career at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
 
Rush currently resides in Royersford, Pennsylvania.
