Janese Davis

Janese Davis joined Head Coach Michael Gospodarek’s softball staff as an assistant prior to the 2015 season. A former Division I student-athlete at Drexel University, Davis brings over a decade of coaching and playing experience to the Griffins dugout.

Prior to arriving at Chestnut Hill College, Davis spent four years (2009-2013) as a pitching instructor with Extra Innings in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. There, she was responsible for overseeing the development of pitchers from ages 7 to 18 while also serving as a pitching coach for Burlington County College (2012) and a Head Coach for the Lower Bucks Lady Lions (2011), for whom she coached the U16 travel team to a United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) World Series. Davis also led the Philadelphia Spirit’s U10 and U12 travel teams to National Softball Association (NSA) World Series titles (2009-2010). Davis spent three years at Germantown Friends School (2007-2009), acting as the assistant junior varsity coach and an assistant and pitching instructor for the varsity softball squad. During that time, she also coached travel teams for the Middletown Athletic Association (2006-2009). Additionally, Davis served as head coach of the Fairless Hills Flames U18 travel squad from 1996-1999.

As a student-athlete, Davis possesses a wealth of playing experience with Drexel University’s softball program (1995 and 1997-1999), and several fastpitch squads: Bristol Blast Women’s Fastpitch (1999-2001), Philadelphia Liberty Women’s Fastpitch (2001-2004), and Crusaders Men’s Fastpitch (2009-2011).

An accounting major, Davis graduated from Drexel University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She currently resides in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
