2010 Women's Cross Country Roster
Biography
FRESHMAN (2007) – Murtha led the women’s team in each event she ran in. She set the women’s record in the 6K twice during the season. She set the initial mark with a 28:36 (56th) in the Philadelphia Metro Championships on Sept. 22. She then beat that time with a 22:32 (28th) at the CACC Championship Meet on Oct. 22. She was voted the Team MVP at the conclusion of the season.
SOPHOMORE (2008) - Competed in five events with her best race coming at the CACC Championship Meet on October 25, where she placed 44th with a time of 23:47.05. She was the Griffin's second finisher in three races; Ursinus College Invitational (9/6), Wilmington University Invitational (9/13), and CACC Championship Meet (10/25).
JUNIOR (2009) - Murtha assumed captain duties for the women's cross country team and led the Griffins through their first season as a qualifying team roster. She had her best 5K finish at the CACC Championship Meet (10/24) placing 43rd with a time of 24:19.02. Murtha's best 6K time was a 27:39.60 at the NCAA Regional Meet finishing 129th in Boston, Massachusetts. She was awarded the Coach's Award at season's end.
