A member of Chestnut Hill College’s inaugural women’s soccer team and a veteran of two National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournaments, Stephanie Williams joined her alma mater’s coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2008 season, the Griffins’ second as a member of NCAA Division II. The 2003 Coach’s Award winner and an all-conference selection as a freshman, Williams finished her career ranked eighth in school history in assists (11), 11th in goals (11), and tied for 11th in points (32).

Williams began her playing career in 2003, the women’s soccer program’s first season of competition. She started all 18 games, finishing with two goals and six assists (10 points) en route to a Second Team All-Atlantic Women’s Colleges Conference (AWCC) nod. That year, the Griffins captured the AWCC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship, and Williams was honored with the Coach’s Award by first-year Head Coach Shawn Ferris after the season.

As a sophomore (2004), Williams played in 12 games, netting a pair of goals and helping to lead the defense as the Griffins successfully defended their AWCC title and earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season, this time under new Head Coach Michele Mocarsky. She had her most productive season as a junior (2005), when she finished third on the team in goals (6) and points (16) while making 12 starts. During her senior year (2006), Williams started 16 times in 18 games, finishing with one goal.

After graduation, Williams joined Head Coach Seamus O’Connor’s coaching staff as an assistant in 2008. Since then, she has helped lead the Griffins to four consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Tournament appearances (2009-2012) under both O’Connor and current Head Coach Sandy Dickson, who took the reins in 2011. Williams organizes the team’s pregame warmups, runs segments of its training sessions, coordinates official and unofficial visits, and assists in the monitoring of student-athletes’ study halls, behavior, class attendance and performance.

In addition to her duties as an assistant women’s soccer coach, Williams has served as the Assistant to the Vice President for Enrollment Management since 2009. In that role, she manages and schedules appointments and time sheets for the Undergraduate Admissions Office. She has been a student ambassador since 2005, giving campus tours and answering questions about campus life and the admissions process.

During her time as a student-athlete at Chestnut Hill College, Williams served as an enrollment management assistant (2005-2007), helping to maintain the Admission Office database, scheduling campus visits, and registering prospective students for Open House and Saturday Visits. She was involved in such campus activities as the Chestnut Hill Activities Team (2004-2007), Senior Dinner Committee (Spring 2005, Spring 2006), and Mask and Foil Productions (2005-2006), and also served as secretary of the Student Government Associat cion from 2006 to 2007.

From 2007 to 2009, Williams worked as an undergraduate admissions administrative assistant at Chestnut Hill College.

A psychology major, Williams graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Chestnut Hill College in 2007. She currently resides in Norristown, Pa.
