Nick Stanton joins the Chestnut Hill College Cross Country and Track and Field coaching staff for his first season in 2022-23.
Stanton arrives on the Hill from Keystone College where he earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees and served as an intern to current Griffins Head coach Ian Hankins.
While interning with Hankins in 2021, the Giants won the Colonial States Athletic conference Cross Country Championship.
Stanton brings experience with almost every track and field event due to training programs at Keystone that were focused on the decathlon. He also earned the team’s sportsmanship award all four years at Keystone.
Prior to Keystone Stanton was a standout track and field athlete at Chittenango High School in Syracuse, New York, qualifying for the state championships in the long jump, 400 meter and 4 x 400 meter relay events throughout his high school career. In 2016 he placed fourth overall in the 400 meter championship at the Junior Olympic Qualifiers in Albany new York.
Stanton graduated in 2021 from Keystone College with a bachelors degree in sports and recreation management and earned his masters degree in sports leadership management the following year.
