Chestnut Hill College Athletics

FRESHMAN (2015) – Lopez was the Griffins top performer in the 2015 season, earning her the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and bringing Chestnut Hill College second place finishes at the Bryn Athyn Invitational (2 of 5, 38 points) and the Cougar Chase Invitational (2 of 10, 71 points). She broke the program record in the six-kilometer twice over with impressive runs at the Philadelphia Metro Meet (5^th, 21:29.0, 9/12, 5K), which earned her a CACC Weekly Honor Roll mention, and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Meet (20^th, 21:13.0, 10/25, 5K). She earned the league’s Rookie and Runner of the Week title on September 21, after leading Chestnut Hill College with a ninth place run (24:19.74) at the Bill Fritz/Charlie Way Invitational (9/19, 6K). Lopez continued her run on the CACC Weekly Report, earning an Honor Roll selection October 5 with a first place (24:10.1) run at the Bryn Athyn Invitational (10/3, 6K). A little over a week later, on October 25, Lopez was the first Griffin across the finish line (20th), besting her own mark from the opening of the season with a program record 21:13.0 at the CACC Championship Meet. The season ended at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II East Regional Championship Meet, on November 8; where a 91^st place (24:41.5) run by Lopez topped the Chestnut Hill College roster.

SOPHOMORE (2016) – Lopez was the Griffins’ top finisher in two out of the six meets; her first such effort was a 65^th (25:43.5) place run at the Gettysburg College Invitational (10/15, 6K) and the second was a 38^th (22:06.9) run at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Meet (10/23, 5K). She ran 133^rd (25:36.9) at the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) DII East Regional Championship. Academically, she earned membership on the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Fall 2016 Academic Honor Roll.

JUNIOR (2017) – Lopez started off her junior year breaking a nine-year old record (13^th, 17:26.50) at Misericordia University Invitational in the 4K  (17^th, 16:47.20). On Saturday 16, at the University of Delaware Invitational she was a top finisher coming in at 31^st (26:24.40). Lopez (4^th, 25:37.00) paced the Griffin's second-place trophies at the Millersville University's Battle for the Buggy, on October 7. Lopez’s efforts garnered her a CACC Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll.   At the CACC Women's Cross Country Championship, on Sunday, October 22, the Griffins put on a historic performance with a fourth place (4^th of 13, 133 points) finish and Lopez’s 17^th (20:48.8) was among the top-40 finishers. Lopez’s stellar seasons was recognized at the annual awards reception as the Women’s Cross-Country Most Valuable Player.
