David Scott

David Scott joined the Chestnut Hill college Athletics staff as the institutions Head Softball Coach in July of 2023.  He becomes the 17th Head softball coach in the program's history which dates back to the 1948-49 season.
 
Prior to joining Chestnut Hill, Scott spent four seasons as the Head softball coach at Quakertown Community High School, guiding the Panthers to a 65-21 record over that span.  Last season, the Panthers produced a perfect 20-0  regular season record, a school first, and won the Suburban One League Liberty Division Championship before falling in the first round of the District 1 playoffs.  In 2022, Scott led the Panthers to the PIAA Class 6A State playoffs, reaching the quarterfinal round.
 
Scott also served as an assistant coach (hitting) for the La Salle University softball program, and had a coaching stint at Agnes Irwin School and  served as a baseball coach at Lansdale Catholic High School.  He currently runs a business as a private hitting instructor.
