Reinert’s 15 Goals Earns CACC Honor Roll Mention

New Haven, Conn. - (4/29/2019) – Senior, midfielder Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) netted 15 goals in the Griffins 1-2 schedule that featured Wilmington University (4/23/2019; L, 9-17), Caldwell University (4/25/2019; L, 15-18), and Felician University (4/27/2019; W, 16-5). Reinert scoring six goals in two of those matchups (Caldwell University and Felician University) garnered her fifth Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Report mention.
 
A late first half run severed as the separator in this evening's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest as Wilmington University closed the opening frame with a 6-0 run before eventually defeating Chestnut Hill College by a 17-9 measure. Junior attack Dai Pearson (Pottstown, Pa.) and senior midfielder Julia Reinert(Bridgeport, Pa.) both recorded three goals and an assist to lead the Griffins offensively; the former also recorded a draw, while the latter additionally provided three ground balls, four draws, and caused a turnover.
Chestnut Hill College scored the first four goals of the contest, but the affair was not one-sided for long as Caldwell University tied the game at 5-5 with 14:29 remaining in the first half, and led the Griffins by a goal at halftime, 9-8. In the end, a 9-7 Cougar second half led the visitors to an eventual 18-15 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win. Reinert and junior midfielder Spencer Fitzgerald(Huntingtown, Md.) scored six goals apiece for the Scarlet and Gold; the former added an assist, seven ground balls, and eight draws, while the latter additionally provided three ground balls, two draws, and three caused turnovers.
 
Chestnut Hill College a lot to celebrate today at the campus fields, where they defeated Felician University 16-5 and sent off their eight seniors, defender Kayla Czernik (Aston, Pa.), defender Sabrina Castano (Paterson, N.J.), attack Rita Lynn Trainer (Conshohocken, Pa.),Reinert, defender Kaley Malampy (Ridley Park, Pa.), defender Macailagh Smith (Red Bank, N.J.), defender Kaitlin Iavecchia (Philadelphia, Pa.), and goalkeeper Valeria Amaya (Oakland, Calif.), during a Senior Day presentation before the match.
