Dawson and Deleval Dawn CACC Weekly Honor Roll

Marie Deleval (Grimuad, France) each did their part to help Head Women's Tennis Coach
Albert Stroble move one step closer to the 100-win plateau and in doing so earned themselves a spot on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly Honor Roll. Dawson and Deleval first combined for an 8-2 win in the top team flight, before winning as individuals in the Griffins 9-0 victory at Georgian Court University on Tuesday, September 10.
Chestnut Hill College (1-0, 1-0) opened CACC play with their first match of the 2013-2014 season, conquering Georgian Court University 9-0. Briskly played, the Griffins posted sweeps of both doubles and singles competition. Dawson and Deleval first combined for an 8-2 win over junior Maria Leal (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) and freshman Kayanna Chandler (Jackson, N.J.), before each claiming victory in singles play. Dawson won number one singles 6-1, 6-2 over Leal and Deleval swept junior Annmarie Wodell (Point Pleasant, N.J.) 6-0, 6-0 at number three singles.
The women’s tennis team will get their first chance to earn Coach Stroble his milestone win when they visit Concordia College (NY) for a 3:30 p.m. match on Tuesday, September 17.
