Schulte Repeats as CACC Golf Rookie of the Week, Woelfling Warrants Honor Roll Recognition
Lafayette Hill, Pa. - (4/13/2021) – Junior Ryan Woelfling (Myerstown, Pa.) and freshman Paul Schulte (Cape May Court House, N.J.) recorded top-10 finishes at Tuesday’s (April 13) Jefferson Classic, as the duo respectively tied for fifth and seventh place with rounds of 75 (+3) and 76 (+4). Schulte’s performance earned him as second straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Rookie of the Week title, while Woelfling’s effort warranted a CACC Golf Weekly Honor Roll appearance.
Chestnut Hill College finished a distant second (2nd of 10, 310, +22) in today’s Jefferson Classic as Concordia College (NY) offered the top three rounds at Liberty Hill Golf Club for an impressive 293 (+5) team score. Senior Santiago Luna (Bogota, Colombia) was the top player for Concordia College, pacing the Clippers trio at the top of the leaderboard with his round of two-under (70, -2).
The Chestnut Hill College scoring foursome also included a 79 (+7) from sophomore Drew Maiorca (Lake Placid, N.Y.) and an 80 (+8) from sophomore Conor Regan (Mullica Hill, N.J.); they respectively placed 14th and tied for 15th. Sophomore David Schmidling (Hockessin, Del.) tied for 28th with an 84 (+12), while sophomore James Doxey (Ringwood, N.J.) shot an 87 (+15) competing as an individual.
Chestnut Hill College will conclude their 2021 schedule on April 18 when they meet join the league-field at Haworth, New Jersey’s White Beaches Golf Club for the 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship.
