Antall Runs for Second Mention on CACC Honor Roll
New Haven, Conn. – (9/23/2013) – After a week off, freshman
Paige Antall (Hanover Township, Pa.) and the Chestnut Hill College cross country teams stayed local for Philadelphia Metro Meet. Competing alongside several fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) members, Antall earned herself a CACC Weekly Honor Roll mention while helping the Griffin women to a 9
th place finish (216 total points) and a program record time of 25:02.
Antall led Chestnut Hill College women to their program-best pace of 25:02 with her 26th place finish (22:56) in the Philadelphia Metro Meet’s five-kilometer (5K) race. Sophomore
Rachel Barnett (Schnecksville, Pa.) was next for the Griffins, in 46th with a time of 25:21. She was immediately followed by three more Griffins with senior
Dana Klepadlo (Pittston, Pa.), sophomore
Samantha McCarthy (Woodstock, Ga.), and senior
Gina Davidson (Philadelphia, Pa.) all crossing consecutively in 47th (25:24), 48th (25:24), and 49th (26:04), respectively. Senior
Allison Eberly (Orwigsburg, Pa.) and freshman
Michaela Uttley (Douglasville, Pa.) also took part in the event, placing 51st (26:25) and 52nd (26:51), correspondingly. With five of the top ten finishers, host, Philadelphia University won the race with 31 total points. Antall has led the Griffins in both competitions this season and earned CACC Honor Roll recognition already this year with a 44
th place finish (22:30.95) at the Fordham Fiasco.
The cross country teams run next at the Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday, October 5, when they join several local teams for the Lightning's Fall Classic.
