The Lightning tied the second set three times, at 1-1, 2-2, and 3-3, before giving way to junior right side Kaitlyn Schock (Allentown, Pa.) and sophomore middle hitter Rachel Biro (Nazareth, Pa.), who powered the Griffin offense in another 25-12 win, 2-0. In the highly-competitive third set, the Griffins paced the Lightning to a 23-19 lead, before allowing the visitors to shock them with a comeback 26-24 win, 2-1. Fortunately, the Griffins rediscovered their focus in the fourth set with a deciding 25-15 win; 3-2. Trabosh recorded 24 digs in the victory.

On Saturday, October 19, the Griffins met some stiff competition at Nyack. The Griffins suffered a 3-0 (25-16, 28-26, 25-16) loss at the hands of the Warriors, dropping the opening set 25-16, and rivaling the Warriors to a 28-26 second-set defeat, before bowing out on another 25-16 loss.
