Casaletto Earns Mention On CACC Weekly Honor RollÂ
New Haven, Conn. - (10/13/2014) – Freshman midfielder
Joseph Casaletto (Sewell, N.J.) was instrumental in helping the Chestnut Hill College men’s soccer team score a 3-0 victory over Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) leaders Concordia College (NY) on Saturday, October 11, scoring his first collegiate goal just 2:41 in and adding an assist on a dagger strike by junior forward
Juan Amaya (Cartagena, Colombia) late in the contest. For the best performance of his young career, Casaletto drew his first selection to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll.

The Griffins were ruthlessly efficient in dispatching Concordia College (6-2-2, 5-2-2), scoring on three of their first five shots. Casaletto got Chestnut Hill College (5-6-1, 4-2-1) off to a flying start less than three minutes in, collecting a beautiful cross from senior midfielder
Michael Hester (Seaport, N.Y.) at the back post and depositing it into the back of the net with a clinical, one-touch finish to put the Griffins on top, 1-0, on his first career goal.
Â
After a penalty kick by junior captain
Nicholas Jaffe (Sao Paulo, Brazil) made it 2-0 at 23:18, Casaletto helped end the Clippers’ chances for good, sending Amaya in on goal with a perfect touch pass that led to the junior’s sixth goal of the season, 3-0 (81:08). With three points, Casaletto recorded the first multi-point game of his career.

The Griffins are back in action on Tuesday, October 14, when they host Holy Family University for a 7:00 p.m. CACC contest.
