Athlete Awards Athletes of the Week Choose Awards Type All Athlete Awards Athletes of the Week Emmanuel Egbosimbah Award Athletes of the Week Week Of 4/13/2015 Sport Men's Track Bio View Full Bio Record-Setting Runs Bring CACC Laurels for Martines and EgbosimbahNew Haven, Conn. - (4/13/2015) – After running for school records at Moravian College’s Coach P Open this weekend, freshman Giancarlo Martines (Cherry Hill, N.J.) and sophomore Emmanuel Egbosimbah (Philadelphia, Pa.) were honored on the most recent Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly Report. Martines set a new Chestnut Hill College standard in the men’s 1,500-meter run, crossing the line in third place with a time of 4:06.98. Egbosimbah, meanwhile, stood out among the Griffin pride with a second-place finish in the triple jump; his output of 14.42 meters was the top performance in program history. He also placed sixth in the long jump (6.56 meters). Both Chestnut Hill College track teams will head to Chester, Pennsylvania next week to take part in the Widener University Invitational on April 17 and 18.
