Williams Recognized with CACC Honorable Mention
For Play in Purple Knight Classic
 
New Haven, CT – (11/15/2010) – Senior guard Brandon Williams (Philadelphia, PA) led Chestnut Hill College in scoring in both contests at the Purple Knight Classic, which was hosted at the University of Bridgeport over the weekend. For his efforts he was recognized with an honorable mention for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week Award.
 
Williams averaged 18 points-per-game (PPG) and five rebounds-per-game (RPG) to lead Chestnut Hill College (0-2) against Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) and Assumption College in the kick-off tournament. He totaled 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists in a 77-57 loss to SCSU on November 13, he then followed that with 21 points, five rebounds, and two steals in an 88-79 loss to Assumption College on November 14. Williams shot 41.9% (13-for-31) from the floor, including 36.4% (4-for-11) from three-point range; he was 6-for-10 (60.0%) from the free throw line.
