Carney is a two-year captain and two-time Coach's Award recipient who has surpassed her success on the softball diamond with her efforts in the classroom and community. Her senior season was the best of her collegiate career, as the steady left fielder posted career-highs in batting average (.268), hits (30), triples (3), home runs (2), slugging (.402), walks (14), and on-base percentage (.359). She ranks among the program's top-10 in games played (150, 2nd), games started (142, T3rd), hits (84, 4th), at-bats (415, 2nd), runs (45, 3rd), doubles (15, T4th), triples (4, T4th), home runs (3, T6th), and walks (2nd). The communications major also minors in political science and legal studies with a 3.90 grade point average (GPA).

Carney is a seven-time member of the Chestnut Hill College Dean's List (Fall 2012, Spring 2013, Fall 2013, Spring 2014, Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Fall 2015), a seven-time member of the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Academic Honor Roll (Fall 2012, Spring 2013, Fall 2013, Spring 2014, Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Fall 2015) and a two-time member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Academic Team (Spring 2014, Spring 2015). She is a constituent of Lambda Pi Eta, Pi Sigma Alpha, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Societies. As well as the President of the Chestnut Hill College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), for which she has served as Secretary in past years. Carney was selected to represent Chestnut Hill College at the 2014-2015 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Apple Conference, service trip to Tanzania in the summer the of 2015, and the recently showcased CACC "Make it Yours" series.
