O’Leary Lures CACC Weekly Honor Roll Recognition
New Haven, Conn. - (3/14/2017) – With a pair of goals in Chestnut Hill College’s 18-5 loss at #15 Lock Haven University, senior midfielder Jacklyn O’Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.) earned her first appearance on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll.
Chestnut Hill College continued a strong early-season, non-conference schedule on Tuesday, March 7, with a contest at #15 Lock Haven University. The Bald Eagles lived up to their billing, defeating the Griffins by an 18-5 margin. All five of the Scarlet and Gold’s five goals came unassisted as O’Leary scored twice and junior midfielder Erin McLaughlin (Magnolia, N.J.) scored once without help, before sophomore midfielder Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) and freshman midfielder Spencer Fitzgerald (Huntingtown, Md.) each recorded late second-half free position goals. O'Leary added two ground balls and a caused turnover to her two goals.
The Chestnut Hill College women's lacrosse opens Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play on Saturday, March 18, when they host Caldwell University for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
