Nate Geigle

Nate Geigle assumed Head Coach responsibilities beginning with the 2015-2016 seasons. Geigle joined the Chestnut Hill College coaching staff in 2014, helping Head Coach Albert Stroble lead the Griffin tennis programs to a third straight National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) East Regional appearance in the 2014-2015 campaign as an associate head coach

A former collegiate athlete and assistant coach at West Chester University, Geigle joined the Chestnut Hill College men’s and women’s tennis coaching staff as an associate head coach in 2014. Following graduation from Davidson College, Geigle went on to take post-baccalaureate classes at West Chester University, where he played number one singles and number one doubles during the 2010-11 season. Despite an injury setback, Geigle’s experience at West Chester University strengthened his drive to become involved with tennis at the collegiate level. To that end, Geigle served as the Golden Rams’ volunteer assistant in the spring of 2014, helping with player development and recruitment and providing on-court coaching instruction during practices and matches.

A standout high school career at Archmere Academy, where he reached the Delaware state finals at second singles in 2004 and served as team captain in 2006, Geigle went on to serve as a hitting partner for both the men’s and women’s tennis teams at, NCAA Division I, Davidson College. Geigle also captained the club tennis team as a junior and senior, giving him valuable experience managing budgets, constructing lineups, and scheduling matches with other schools. After graduating in 2010, he served as a summer instructor at the Wildcat Tennis Camps, an all-day program at Davidson College. While in high school, Geigle also worked for the Rodney Street Tennis Program in Wilmington, Delaware, where he offered instruction to the city’s disadvantaged youth, and as an instructor for United States Tennis Association (USTA) Delaware District clinics (2005-2006).

In addition to coaching for the Griffins, Geigle plays on local United States Tennis Association (USTA) teams and offers private lessons around the West Chester and Philadelphia areas. He graduated from Davidson College in 2010 with a degree in biology and he is currently pursuing his master's degree in sports business, with a concentration in athletic administration, at Temple University's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) with an anticipated date of graduation in May 2016. Geigle resides in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. Â
