Wilmington, DE – (10/19/2009) – Amongst a host of local schools, the Chestnut Hill College golf team competed this afternoon in the Swarthmore Fall Invitational at the Rock Manor Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware. Freshman Tim Streeper turned in the low score for Chestnut Hill College with a round of 93 on the par 71 course. The Griffins placed 13th out of 13 teams with a team score of 411. Freshman Josh Feldschneider (Delran, N.J.) of Rutgers Camden led all participants with a 71; Rutgers Camden won the invitational with a team score of 312.
Junior Mike Gibbons (Philadelphia, PA) was five strokes behind Streeper, finishing the 6,405 yard course with a round of 98. Streeper finished tied for 49th overall, Gibbons was tied for 53rd. Sophomore Mario Incollingo (Philadelphia, PA) and junior Jill Schoenherr (New Rochelle, NY) finished 66th and 67th respectively, with scores of 108, 112. Sophomore Nick Mull (Collingswood, NJ) was close behind finishing the course with 116 strokes for 69th place.
