Philadelphia, PA – (12/12/2009) – Goldey-Beacom College jumped out to an early advantage over Chestnut Hill College in this afternoon's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest. The Lightning took a ten-point lead in the opening 6:16 and they never looked back as the Griffins fell 82-66 to their South Division rival. Junior forward
Terrence Parkes (New Rochelle, N.Y.) led the Lightning with 26 points and 17 rebounds.
Goldey-Beacom College (5-2, 3-0) owned a 39-25 halftime advantage on the poor shooting of Chestnut Hill College (4-6, 0-2). The Griffins hit 34.5% (10-of-29) from the field, but with a 53.3% (16-of-30) shooting percentage the Lightning advanced an early 14-4 lead into a 37-18 lead with 3:16 left in the opening period.
