Bloomsburg, PA – (9/16/2009) – The Chestnut Hill College women's tennis team visited Bloomsburg University today for an evening match. The Huskies swept both doubles and singles play to defeat the Griffins 9-0.

Senior Erin Andersen (Canton, CT) found the most success for Chestnut Hill College (0-5), as she fell 6-1, 6-1 at number one singles. In doubles play, Andersen teamed with freshman Danielle Knott (Mt. Vernon, NY ) to give the Huskies the most difficulty, battling to an 8-3 defeat at number one doubles. The Huskies won individual flights three through six by 6-0, 6-0 scores and claimed number two doubles 8-0.

The women's tennis team will participate individually in the Wilson/ITA East Regional Championships this weekend, September 18-20, which will be hosted by Chestnut Hill College and Philadelphia University at the Arthur Ashe Jr. Youth Tennis Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
