Orangeburg, NY - (10/2/10) – Dominican College topped Chestnut Hill College 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-11) in this afternoon's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match, scoring 22 aces as a team. Sophomore middle hitter Cassie Benson (Rosamond, CA) and junior outside hitter Megan Nadler (West Deptford, NJ) led the Griffin frontline with a combined seven kills and two blocks.

Dominican College (8-12, 5-2) had four players with at least four aces as the Lady Chargers served their way to victory over Chestnut Hill College (3-14, 1-6). Sophomore libero Jordyn Fuller (Keller, TX) led the way with 6 aces, while also headlining the defense with eight digs. At the net, sophomore middler blocker Courtney Heard (Ventura, CA) hit .667 (9K-1E-12TA) in the match with nine kills. Sophomore setter Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) provided 26 assists and scored four of the Lady Chargers aces.

Benson led the Griffins with four kills, Nadler followed with three kills. They each recorded a block. Freshman setter Allison Eberly (Orwigsburg, PA) scored two aces for the Griffins and junior defensive specialist Alyssa Miller (East Stroudsburg, PA) served the third. Sophomore setter Courtney Gallo (Wilmington, DE) topped the defensive effort with four digs.

The women's volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, October 5, when they Griffins travels to Philadelphia University for a 6:00 p.m. CACC match.
