Lafayette Hill, PA – (3/23/2010) – The Chestnut Hill College golf team welcomed Philadelphia University and the University of the Sciences to their new home this afternoon, as they hosted their local rivals in a round at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club. Philadelphia University came away as the winner with a team score of 333. The University of the Sciences scored a 350 and Chestnut Hill College turned in a team score of 358.  

The Rams were led by freshman Ryan O'Donnell (Newtown Square, PA) who scored nine over par (71) with an 80. All four qualifying Rams completed the course in 85 strokes or less. The Devils were led by senior Scott Cahayla (Ringwood, NJ) and junior Jason Franck (Elverson, PA) who both turned in a score of 83.

Junior Tim Streeper (Philadelphia, PA) led Chestnut Hill College (0-20) with a round of 85. He was followed by sophomore Michael Gough (Sicklerville, NJ) who scored an 88. Junior Darrell Bachman (Philadelphia, PA) shot a 91 and junior Mike Gibbons (Philadelphia, PA) was the final qualifying Griffins with a score of 94. Sophomore Gavin Reid (Dundee, Scotland) also participated in today's match, he shot a 104.

The golf team will host the University of the Sciences in a 12:00 p.m. match at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club on Tuesday, March 30.
