Bloomfield, NJ – (10/1/2011) – Chestnut Hill College won the more important match of the afternoon, defeating Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rivals Bloomfield College 3-2 (18-25, 23-25, 25-12, 25-23, 15-5) in the first challenge of today's tri-match. Katie Schock (Allentown, PA) were the top performers for the Griffins; Schock led in the first match with 15 kills, both registered nine kills against the Dolphins.

Kailey Arlen (Orland Park, IL) combined for eight kills in the 25-12 win. Play continued to go the Griffins way in the fourth set, 25-23, before Schock and freshman setter
Sidney Chukuntarod (San Francisco, CA) made short work of the Deacons in the deciding set, 15-5. Schock and DePalma teamed for 29 kills, Chukuntarod totaled 39 assists, and DiGregorio recorded 28 digs.
The Griffins were not as successful against Le Moyne College (8-4), as the Dolphins had three players with nine kills and gave the Griffins defensive troubles with 13 team aces. Chukuntarod supported DePalma and Schock with 21 assists and three aces. DiGregorio hustled to 14 digs.
The women's volleyball team travels to Millersville University for their next match; a 7:00 p.m. opening serve is scheduled for Tuesday, October 4.
