Bronxville, NY – (10/22/2011) – Chestnut Hill College traveled to Concordia College (NY) for their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Semifinal match against Goldey-Beacom College. Despite strong showings from junior Maria Parapouras (Victoria, Australia) and freshman Morgan Oechsle (Coopersburg, PA), the Griffins could not defeat the Lighting, 5-2, who will face host, Concordia College (NY), in tomorrow's CACC Championship Match.
 
Parapouras and Oechsle were responsible for the only Chestnut Hill College (13-3, 7-1) doubles victory; winning number two doubles 8-3. Goldey-Beacom College (7-2, 6-2) won number one doubles 8-2 and number three doubles 8-4. Parapouras and Oechsle struck back at the Lightning in singles play, but they were the only Griffins to record individual victories in the semifinal match.  
 
The women's tennis team will return to action in March when they travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina for a week of early spring competition
