Lauren Riiff (Clementon, NJ) carried Chestnut Hill College to a 3-1 win Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) over Wilmington University this afternoon. She scored twice in the first half with a little help from her friends and then added an unassisted score in the middle of the closing period to provide insurance. With the victory, the Griffins finish their CACC season at 7-5 and waiting seeding for the upcoming CACC Championship Tournament.
Just past the 15-minute mark (15:19), Chestnut Hill College (9-8, 7-5) lit the scoreboard as junior midfielder
Ali Allizzo (Laurel Springs, NJ) passed Riiff open beyond the Wilmington University (5-11-1, 3-7-1) defense. Riiff buried the shot from 18 yards out and the Griffins owned a 1-0 advantage. At 24:16 she struck again, this time converting from 20 yards out off a throw-in from sophomore midfielder

Following halftime, Riiff added a third score at 69:37 after stealing a ball from a Wildcat defender. The Wildcats were saved from the shutout by junior defender Vikki Zipf (Cherry Hill, NJ), who scored the contest's final goal at 75:31.
