Cheyney, PA – (9/13/2011) – Chestnut Hill College evened their record at 5-5 this evening, as they defeated Cheyney University 3-0 (25-6, 25-8, 25-11). The Griffins controlled the match with a .208 (20K-10E-48TA) hitting percentage and 14 aces. They were led by sophomore outside hitter Alex DePalma (Shillington, PA), who recorded nine kills, four aces, and ten digs.

 

Chestnut Hill College (5-5) was efficient in disposing of Cheyney University (0-3), as the Griffins spotted 14 aces and held the Wolves in singles digits for the first, two sets. DePalma was helped on the offensive end by freshman right side Katie Schock (Allentown, PA) and sophomore outside hitter Kailey Arlen (Orland Park, IL). Both scored three kills, Schock also spotted four aces and made two blocks. Junior libero Liz DiGregorio (Conshohocken, PA) was the third Griffins to record at least four aces; she also hustled to nine digs.
