Lafayette Hill, PA – (3/26/2012) – Along with Concordia College (NY), Chestnut Hill College met Philadelphia University at the Ace Club for a round of golf on a crisp, windy afternoon. The Clippers were the day's victors with a team score of 334; freshman Eutimio Fernandez-Meade (Mexico City, Mexico) was the match's top performer with a round of 81 on the 72-par, 7,108-yard course.
 
Griffin newcomer, freshman Pat Steger (La Plata, MD), was the top shooter for Chestnut Hill College with a score of 91 (+19). He was supported by a round of 94 from  senior Nick Mull (Collingswood, NJ), a round of 96 from senior Mitch Doherty Jr. (Lowell, MA), and senior Joe Reid (Kingsville, MD) scored a 113. The Griffins finished third of the three teams in the competition with 394 team points.
 
The golf team next hosts the first-ever Griffin Invitational on Monday, April 2. The event is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. tee-time at Westover Golf Club in Jeffersonville, Pennsylvania.
