New Haven, Conn. – (2/25/2013) – With one game remaining on their 2012-2013 schedule, a 12-13 overall mark, and an 8-8 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) standing, Chestnut Hill College has earned the CACC South Division's #4 seed for the upcoming CACC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. For the second year in a row, the Griffins will travel to N#1 Dominican College for an Opening Round contest. The CACC also announced seeding for the 2012-13 CACC Women's Basketball Championship Tournament, which features #6 Holy Family University as the top seed of the CACC South Division.

In the CACC Men's Basketball North Division, seniors, guard Leon Porter II (Laurel, Md.) and forward Cory Quimby (Otisville, N.Y.) directed Dominican College (21-5, 15-3) to a first place finish with balanced and consistent production. The Chargers finished three games better than Bloomfield College (14-12, 12-6), who serves as the league's two-time defending champion and the #2 seed for the CACC North. Led by a host of juniors, Post University (15-11, 10-8) placed third while a high powered offense earned Concordia College (NY) (13-15, 9-9) the North's #4 seed.

The CACC South was led by Holy Family University (17-9, 13-4), who like the Chargers, featured a one-two punch with the athletic and defensive play of junior guards of Ervin Ezell (Deptford, N.J.) and Alberto Munoz (Morrisville, N.C.). Perennial CACC powerhouse, Philadelphia University (16-9, 11-5) fell twice to the Tigers, but will own the #2 seed in the CACC South after they host Chestnut Hill College in the CACC regular season finale at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26. Sophomore forward, and double-double machine, Garret Kerr (Moorestown, Pa.) powered the University of the Sciences (13-12, 10-7) to a third place finish in the CACC South, while Chestnut Hill College (12-13, 8-8) earns the South's #4 seed behind the accurate shooting of senior guard senior guard Mark DiRugeris Jr. (Woodbury, N.J.).
