Philadelphia, Pa. – (10/18/2014) – Amidst a busy day on campus, the Chestnut Hill College women's tennis team concluded their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule with a morning match against Concordia College (NY). The Griffins got a head start on the Clippers, winning number three doubles by default and number two doubles on the effort of juniors
Iman Williams-Mulesa (Pickering, Ontario) and
Axe Owens (Trenton, N.J.) before succumbing to the Clipper competition in individual play, 5-4.
Short-handed, Concordia College (NY) (7-0, 7-0) forfeited points to Chestnut Hill College (7-3, 6-2) at number three doubles and number six singles. The Griffins added to their 1-0 advantage with Owens and Williams-Mulesa taking the second team flight by an 8-2 spread, 2-0. But, the Clippers broke up the sweep with an 8-1 win at number one doubles, 2-1.
