Box Score | Philadelphia, Pa. - (10/25/2015) – For the third time in four years, Chestnut Hill College took their best shot at #1 Concordia College (NY) in another thrilling Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Tournament on the campus tennis courts. The CACC All-Tournament Team efforts of seniors, captain Iman Williams-Mulesa (Pickering, Ontario) and Axe Owens' (Trenton, N.J.) headlined the weekend for the Griffins, who fell to the Clippers in a 5-0 final.

After an overnight shower, the alternating patterns of sun and wind dried the Chestnut Hill College (9-2) campus courts for today's pinnacle match. The Griffins, who offered a 7-2 fight in the regular season match versus the Clippers, hoped to improve upon that performance. Unfortunately, Concordia College (NY) (10-0) was the better side, capturing consecutive victories at number three doubles (Craskey/Bellon, L, 8-1), number one doubles (Owens/Josso, L, 8-5,), and number two doubles (Williams-Mulesa/Scholtze, L, 8-3) to earn an early 3-0 edge.

Owens (6-4, 6-3, unfinished) and sophomore Lara Scholtze (Bod Homburg, Germany) (6-3, 3-0, unfinished) were both in the driver's seat for their individual matches, but the Griffin effort in the remaining singles slots was defeated in the Clippers' championship run. The Clippers took number six singles (6-1, 6-1) and number one singles (6-4, 6-1) to end the match and collect their seventh consecutive CACC crown.

The Chestnut Hill College women's tennis finishes their fall season at 9-2 overall and 6-1 in the CACC.
