Box Score Lakewood, N.J. - (11/7/2015) – Chestnut Hill College continued their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) playoff push today with a league match at Georgian Court University. The Lions earned a split of the season series, defending their home court to the tune of a 3-1 (25-13, 25-22, 25-27, 25-21) final. Comfortable on their home court, Georgian Court University (18-14, 11-6) caught Chestnut Hill College (11-19, 10-7) sleeping in the opening set. With a 25-13 win the Lions grabbed the early advantage, 1-0. They extended their lead to 2-0 with a 25-22 win in the second set. The Griffins looked to get back in the fight in the third set, where they scored a narrow 27-25 victory before dropping the fourth set to the Lions, 25-21.
Freshman outside hitter Peggy Rosario (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) was the Lions lead performer with 15 kills on a .245 (15K-2E-53TA) hitting percentage. She also recorded an assist, three aces, 14 digs, and three block assists. Junior setter Kelsey Oliver (Scio, Ore.) supplied 36 assists, in addition to four kills, 13 digs, and two block assists, while junior libero Nerishka Cruz De La Rosa (Morovis, Puerto Rico) captained the defense with 29 digs in excess of her three assists.

Emily Koehler (Bath, Pa.) led Griffins in kills with a dozen successful strikes on a .276 (12K-4E-29TA) hitting percentage. She also recorded an ace, three digs, and three blocks. Junior outside hitter
Madison McBride (Long Beach, Calif.) and senior outside hitter
Rachel Biro (Nazareth, Pa.) each supplied 11 kills, the former adding two assists, an ace, and 21 digs to her net play while the latter recorded five digs and a block assist. Sutton and Tamsing combined for 35 assists; Sutton offered 19 of them while making four digs and a block as Tamsing also accumulated a kill, an ace, and ten digs. Sophomore defensive specialist

Regina Trabosh (Norristown, Pa.) hustled to 24 more as the anchors of the Griffins defensive effort.
The women's volleyball team tries to stay in the CACC postseason race on Tuesday, November 10, when they travel to Philadelphia University for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
