Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - (10/19/2016) – Freshman outside hitter Reily Byxbee (Indianapolis, Ind.) continued to shine for Chestnut Hill College, but tonight her effort was eclipsed by Holy Family University, who swept the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season series with a 3-1 (25-20, 16-25, 25-20, 25-23) win. Byxbee totaled 16 points, leading the Griffins with 14 kills and a pair of aces. Senior outside hitter Madison McBride (Long Beach, Calif.) chipped in with eight kills, two aces, 22 digs, and five block assists, while senior libero Regina Trabosh (Norristown, Pa.) and junior defensive specialist Peyton Reno (Wilmington, Del.) joined her in the defensive effort with a combined 33 digs.

Holy Family University (11-11, 8-4) paced Chestnut Hill College (8-11, 6-4) to a 10-6 spread at the evening's first timeout. Following the break, the Scarlet and Gold found their stride on Trabosh's service. With five straight point the Griffins forced a Tiger timeout with a 15-11 advantage. Holy Family University recovered with an extended service from sophomore opposite Jaime Bonner (Warminster, Pa.), who initiated eight straight Tiger point en route to a 15-15 tie and an eventual 25-21 home win.

Chestnut Hill College controlled the second set to the tune of a 25-16 final as solid serves from Reno and Byxbee helped the Griffins to an early 14-7 advantage. The Scarlet and Gold maintained their distance to a 21-14 spread, before a series of Tigers miscues allowed them to secure the set by a nine-point difference.

Unfortunately, the Griffins second-set effort was overshadowed by the outcomes of the third and fourth sets of the evening as the Tigers scored the final five points in a critical 25-20 third-set victory and held a narrow lead for the duration of a 25-23 fourth-set triumph.

Sophomore outside hitter Chase Wassel (North Wales, Pa.) was impressive for Holy Family University, totaling 26 kills on a .234 (26K-11E-64TA) hitting percentage while additionally providing an ace, 13 digs, and a block assist. She was complimented by 17 kills from sophomore outside hitter Candyce Riley (Horsham, Pa.), who also recorded an ace, 14 digs, and a block assist. Junior setter Kacie Brien (Turnersville, N.J.) provided 47 assists, nine digs, and a block, while four Tigers reached double-digit digs.

Byxbee matched her season-high in kills for the second time in two matches. Sophomore setter Kennedy Sutton (Chesapeake, Va.) offered 30 assists, a kill, six digs, and a pair of block assists to help McBride, Trabosh, and Reno slow the Tiger assault.
